Resize a Photo or Signature to an Exact KB and Pixel Size

Online forms often ask for a photo or signature under a set size in KB, at a set size in pixels. Add your picture, enter the limits from the form, and download an image that fits. Nothing is uploaded.

How to resize your photo or signature

  1. Choose your photo. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported.
  2. Enter the maximum size in KB that the form allows. If the form also gives a minimum size, enter that too.
  3. If the form states a size in pixels, enter the width and height, and choose how to handle a different shape.
  4. Press Resize image, check the preview, and download the JPG.

Tips for forms and portals

  • Read the form’s instructions first and match all of them: size in KB, size in pixels and file type.
  • When you enter both a width and a height, a crop box appears. Drag the picture to choose what stays in, and use the slider to zoom. Choose Fit inside to keep the whole picture with white borders.
  • Use the rotate buttons if your photo appears sideways.
  • For a signature, sign with a dark pen on plain white paper in good light, and photograph it close up.
  • The tool counts 1 KB as 1024 bytes and aims slightly under your limit, so the file passes.

Frequently asked questions

Enter 50 or 20 in Maximum size, press Resize image, and download the result. The tool finds the best quality that stays under the limit.

The tool keeps the highest quality that fits your limit. Very small limits mean softer images. A smaller width and height usually keeps a small file looking sharper.

Enter the minimum as well. If the result is too small, the tool adds invisible padding to reach it. The picture itself does not change.

You can upload JPG, PNG and WebP. The result is always a JPG. HEIC photos from an iPhone need converting to JPG first.

When you fix both width and height, the tool cannot shrink the picture further. Try a smaller width and height, or a higher limit.

No. Resizing happens inside your browser, so your photo stays on your device.

Drag the picture inside the crop box until your face is where you want it, then press Resize image.
