Many forms ask for all your documents in one PDF: marksheets, ID copies, certificates. If you only have photos from your phone, you can combine them into a single PDF without installing an app.
Before you start
- Take each page in good light, straight on, with the whole page in view.
- Keep the pages in the order the form wants them.
- If a photo is from an iPhone and saved as HEIC, change the camera setting first (see the tip below), or use a JPG copy.
Merge your photos in 5 steps
- Open the Merge JPG and PDF page in your phone’s browser.
- Tap the box and select your photos. You can pick several at once, and you can add PDF files too.
- Use the up and down arrows to put the pages in order. Tap the cross to remove a file you added by mistake.
- Choose A4 for the page size and Medium for the image quality, which suits most forms.
- Tap Merge into one PDF, then Download PDF.
Where did my PDF go?
On Android, open the Files app or your browser’s downloads list and look in the Downloads folder. On iPhone, open the Files app and look in Downloads. The file is named merged.pdf unless you rename it.
If the PDF is too big for the form
Run the merge again with Low image quality. Photos and scans get smaller, and that is where most of the size comes from. PDF files that you add are copied as they are, so they keep their original size.
iPhone tip: save photos as JPG
On iPhone, go to Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG, which every form and tool accepts.
Common problems
- A page is sideways. Photos usually keep their rotation, but if one is wrong, rotate it in your gallery and add it again.
- A PDF will not add. It may be password protected or damaged. Remove the password and try again.
- The browser runs out of memory. Merge in two smaller batches, then merge the two results.
Your files stay on your phone the whole time. Nothing is uploaded.
