Add a Name and Date to Your Photo
Some forms ask for a photo with your name and the date on it. Add your photo, type your name, and get a picture with a clean strip, at the size your form asks for. Your photo is never uploaded.
How to add a name and date strip
- Choose your photo. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported.
- Type your name. The date is filled in for today, and you can change it.
- Choose whether the strip goes below the photo or on the photo, the colours, and the strip size.
- If your form gives a size, enter the width and height in pixels, and a maximum size in KB. The width and height cover the whole picture, strip included.
- Drag the photo if you need to move it inside the frame, then press Create photo and download it.
Tips for a good result
- Check your form first. It may say where the name and date go, how big the photo must be, and what the strip should look like. Follow that, because this tool cannot know it.
- Use a white strip with black text for a plain look, or a black strip with white text if the photo is light at the bottom.
- A longer name is made smaller to fit the width. Use the one-line layout for short names, and two lines for long ones.
- Names in other scripts, such as Hindi, work in the strip as long as your device has the font.
- Look at the preview and then at the downloaded file before you upload.
Frequently asked questions
Is this tool free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is handled in your browser, on your own device, and is never sent to a server.
What size will the photo be?
If you enter a width and a height, the whole picture, strip included, comes out at that size. If you leave them empty, the photo keeps its own shape.
Can I change the date?
Yes. The date starts as today’s date in the form day, month, year, and you can type anything you like.
Can I set a maximum file size?
Yes. Enter a size in KB and the tool lowers the quality only as far as needed to fit.
Why is the text small?
A long name has to fit across the strip, so the text is made smaller. Choose a taller strip, or the two-line layout, to make it bigger.
