Split a PDF and Extract Pages
Need only some pages of a PDF? Type the page numbers you want and get them as a new PDF, along with a second file holding all the other pages. Your file is never uploaded.
How to split a PDF
- Choose your PDF, or drop it onto the box. The number of pages is shown.
- Type the pages you want, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10, or tap First page, Last page, Odd pages or Even pages.
- Press Split PDF.
- Download the selected pages, and the other pages too if you need them.
Good to know
- Page numbers follow the order of the PDF, starting at 1. Use a dash for a range (2-4) and a comma between parts (1, 3-5).
- You always get two files: the pages you picked, and everything else. If you picked every page, there is only one.
- Many forms ask for just one page of a longer document. Type that page number to get it on its own.
- To make more than two files, split the PDF twice. Use the second file for the next split.
- Pages are copied as they are, so quality does not change and text stays selectable. Password-protected PDFs cannot be split.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract one page from a PDF?
Type the page number, for example 2, then press Split PDF. The first download is that page on its own.
How do I split a PDF into two parts?
Type the pages of the first part, for example 1-5. The selected pages are the first file and all the other pages are the second.
Does splitting change the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so scans stay as sharp as before.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is handled in your browser and never sent to a server.
Can I choose pages in a different order?
Yes. Type them in the order you want, for example 3, 1, 2. For more control, use the organize tool.
Why does it say a page is outside the PDF?
The number is higher than the number of pages. The page count is shown under the file name.
